Image
Yesterday, I spent my weekend in Cha-am, it's about 45 minutes from Phetchaburi if you went there by motorcycle or car. The first place that I visited was the place of the elephants' refuge. The place was provided a tour to see around and also the elephant, but the problem was, we didin't want to take a tour, we just want to see and took a picture with the elephant. We went there and talked to the keeper which was literally a foreign people. We and our companions (May & Bet) tried to talk to them that we didin't need a tour, but the keeper kept on saying that they only provided tour, and we have to pay about 1,000 baht for a tour. It was too expensive for us. But, finally after talked to the other keeper, they let us to see the elephant and feed them ! But just for a while. The next destination was a temple near the elephant refuge, it was a nice and clean temple, I'm not sure about the name, it might be "Khao Luk Chang" and there was a sleeping

"Happiness is beyond everything". One sentence that describing the students of this school where as long as the students happy, all is well. from what I've seen for about a week, this school has showed me many things. The director and the teachers are giving their best to give the true "happiness" for the students. Satit school has 6 grades, starting from M.1 - M.6, not too much students in a classroom, it is only about 20 students. Every class is supported by computer for teacher, computer room, wi-fi access for everyone, air-conditioning, single seat for every students, hand-book, and the copy of lesson material. The director of the school provide the computer in front of the classroom means that every teacher should knows how to operate the computer. That was a great thing that the teachers were not lose by their students in technology. They operate computer and using wi-fi to teach the students such as in Edmodo class, some students also utilize the soci

Students are just same in every place. They grow in a way of all children do. But what makes it different is the way teacher teach them, the media and technology that the school has. Such as in Satit school which plced in PBRU, Phetcabhuri province. Satit school has 6 levels for high school, from grade 1 - 6. Every morning, in everyday, Monday to Friday, they always have ceremony, singing Thai national anthem and also do activity in the morning. The activity is not literally hearing the teacher talking all the time. They usually play games and other kind of activity as the warming up. For instance that in Thursday, they are practicing dancing. All students moving and it can be a good excercise in the morning. Every class that Satit has is a quite comfortable class for the students since it has all of students needed, such as computer, projector, it also has air conditioning to make sure that students are not feeling hot and full of sweat when they have to study. It wasn't abi

I have just come to Phetcabhuri to do my project, the reason why am I here. I'm going to do an observation and teaching the students here underneath the SEAMEO project, SEA-Teacher project, it seems like students exchange between Indonesia, Thailand, and Phillipine. I will be in Thailand for a month. From the first time I came here, everyone has given me a warm welcome. I met a lot of Thai Muslim, they just as warm and as nice as other people. In the fisrt day, when I haven't on my room yet, because it is not ready to use, my muslim friends let me use their room to put my stuffs. They are coming form Patani, an area where 80% of the villagers are moslem, they also can talk in Malay who has a quite similar root of language with Indonesia. In the other time, I have written it on my blog that I'm going to Cha-Am beach, and we met Myanmar Moslem who sell a kind of snack and bought us a cup of coffee. When we said that they don't need to do that, he said that "Don

First Day in Thailand !

My very "real" first day in Thailand !!! We (Me, Ardian, and Bari) have a schedule to visit the school that we are going to observe and teach. We are going at about 08.00 a.m. and Mr. Buddy and Mr. Ek (our coordinator) took us to the halaal restaurant in Phetcabhuri. They serve us with kind of karee rice and we can choose whether we want to mix it with fish or chicken, it depends on us, it cost 50 baht (about Rp.25.000) including mineral water. If you are a moslem, a traveller and you need to find that kind of food in Phetchaburi, I recommend you to try it ! After having breakfast, we started our journey by going to visit Bari's school, Aroonpradit School. I saw something interesting there where some of the students dressing up with training something you wear to do sport activity, they were studying outside and dancing ! We might see students in Indonesia doing sport when they study outside with that kind of outfit, they will do sport. It was something n

Flight to Thailand !

Yesssss, it's time to go !!!! It's 20th of January 2018, our flight time to go to Thailand. The ticket shows that we should be heading to Jakarta at 19.50 (origin time), but the reality is not as good as our expectation, our flight was delayed (you might can guess the airline😑)... And finally, we enter the gate and go to the airplane at about 21.00 (origin time). We have sat on the airplane but it doesn't mean that everything is going well. Yahhhh, there is another problem. But it's not coming from our plane, but from the previous airplane that will be going to Surabaya, it has a problem with its front tire. It means that we have to waiting in line (again) until that plane works and we can get through the way and fly. It takes about 30 minutes until we ready to go. Finally, we arrived in Makassar to transit and go to Jakarta an hour later. We arrive in Jakarta in early morning, at 01.00, and have to move from arrival terminal (C) to departure terminal at (2D) fo
