Facilitation in Satit School of PBRU

"Happiness is beyond everything". One sentence that describing the students of this school where as long as the students happy, all is well. from what I've seen for about a week, this school has showed me many things. The director and the teachers are giving their best to give the true "happiness" for the students.

Satit school has 6 grades, starting from M.1 - M.6, not too much students in a classroom, it is only about 20 students. Every class is supported by computer for teacher, computer room, wi-fi access for everyone, air-conditioning, single seat for every students, hand-book, and the copy of lesson material.

The director of the school provide the computer in front of the classroom means that every teacher should knows how to operate the computer. That was a great thing that the teachers were not lose by their students in technology. They operate computer and using wi-fi to teach the students such as in Edmodo class, some students also utilize the social media such as "facebook" to give assignment to students, just like what teacher Som (English teacher in Satit School) did to the students. She's mixing the lesson and the use of social media of the students to study English. It's not applied by all teachers, and for me, it was amazing.

Air-conditioning, wi-fi, and single-seat are the things to make the students comfortable, because in learning, the one that you have to feel is comfortable. While the students are provided by hand-book so that they can do  a lot of activity rather than re-write what the teacher write in the whiteboard, it will be wasting time. Providing the copy of the materials and papers for the students will make the lesson efficient.


At the end, happiness is provided by the school and students just have

to study, study, study, and feel happy.

1.     Teaching Methods If you take a look on every teaching methods that teachers do, you will see the differences. Let’s just say that there are teacher A, B, and C and all of them will have schedule to teach the same level in different time. Let’s start with teacher A, I can say that this kind of teacher is a kind of normal teacher where they will open the class just as usual and then tell the students about what are they going to do in the classroom today. We can say that as a “speech” method. But, the combination between “speech” and “grouping” or “work in team” will make the lesson more interactive. Teacher A combine the methods and gives the students more time to do excercise rather than focus on giving the material to students by speech. Teaching Practice on Satit Demonstration School of PBRU

1.1       Procedures of Teaching Just after entering the school, the director and my advisor help me a lot to make a schedule for me, for my observation, being teacher assistant and of course to teach the students. Both of the director and my advisor have a great work, and also my buddies in this school, so I can understand what should I do and what should I teach to the students. They provide me a schedule to see what time that I will have a chance to observe, being the teacher assistent and when to teach the students in the classroom. Based on that schedule, I can prepare myself for my teaching activity. Students' handbook Classroom facilities I always ask my buddies and also my advisor about what I’m going to do in the classroom, what kind of material that they usually teach to the students and I will make an appropriate material to the students.
